Compare the 40x90cm crib jersey fitted sheet pack of 2 and pack of 4 on cost, laundry rotation, and storage. Find out which pack size fits your routine.
Quick answer
Choose the pack of 2 if you wash frequently and have limited storage; choose the pack of 4 if you want fewer laundry cycles, a lower cost per sheet, and a spare ready for night-time changes.
Cost per sheet: the pack of 4 wins on value
At the catalog prices of USD 5.75 for two sheets and USD 8.31 for four, the pack of 4 brings the cost per sheet down to about USD 2.08, compared with about USD 2.88 for the pack of 2. That difference matters if you plan to use the sheets for several months and want to build a laundry rotation without buying repeatedly.
The trade-off is upfront spend: the pack of 4 costs more today, even though each sheet costs less. If you are buying just before your baby arrives and are unsure how many changes you will need, the pack of 2 lets you start smaller and add more later.
Laundry rotation: how many sheets you actually need
A practical rule is one sheet on the mattress, one in the wash, and one clean in the drawer. That baseline means three sheets, which neither pack matches exactly. The pack of 2 covers the mattress plus one spare; the pack of 4 gives you the baseline plus an extra sheet for leaky nights or a delayed wash.
If you wash every day or two, the pack of 2 can be enough. If you batch laundry, share a washing machine, or want to avoid late-night sheet changes, the pack of 4 is the more forgiving choice.
Storage and fit: both packs share the same sheet size
Both packs contain the same 40x90cm jersey fitted sheets made from 100% cotton, so the choice does not change how the sheet fits. The difference is only how many you keep on hand and how much drawer space you give up.
Jersey cotton stretches, which helps when you are fitting a sheet one-handed, but it also means you should check your mattress size before ordering. These sheets are listed for 40x90cm mattresses; if your crib mattress is a different size, neither pack will fit correctly.
Pack of 2 vs pack of 4 trade-offs
- Upfront cost vs cost per sheet: The pack of 2 costs USD 5.75 (about USD 2.88 per sheet). The pack of 4 costs USD 8.31 (about USD 2.08 per sheet). Pay less now with the 2-pack, or pay more now for a lower per-sheet price with the 4-pack. If you expect to use these sheets for more than a few weeks, the 4-pack usually works out cheaper overall.
- Laundry buffer: The pack of 2 gives you one sheet on the mattress and one spare. The pack of 4 gives you three spares, which covers a missed wash, a leaky nappy, or a sick night without hand-washing immediately. Count how often you run laundry; if it is less than every other day, lean toward the 4-pack.
- Storage space: Four jersey sheets take up more drawer or cupboard space than two. If you are short on storage in a small nursery, the pack of 2 is easier to tuck away. Measure your sheet storage before choosing the larger pack.
